Father Knows Best When It Comes To Links - This Month In SEO - 6/08

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Last month we celebrated moms here at This Month In SEO so is it any surprise that dads get the dedication for the month of June? Sure I could have dedicated this post to the change in seasons, but we have two parents and it only seemed fair to give each a post. Hopefully you had a chance to celebrate with dad a few weeks ago or had everyone celebrate with you if you happen to be the dad in the in the family. Either way this post is for fathers everywhere.

Links Only Your Mother Could Love - This Month In SEO - 5/08

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Who to honor This Month In SEO? Two worthy candidates exist for the dedication of May’s roundup post. Fallen veterans who we honored just a few days ago on Memorial Day and moms who we celebrated a few weeks back. Got to support the troops for all they do, but no way I can ignore Mom. Something tells me I’ll be hearing from her much sooner and more often. So moms everywhere, this month’s post is especially for you.

Don’t Be Fooled By April’s Links - This Month In SEO 4/08

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

The first This Month In SEO on the new site. Does it feel any different? The post should look familiar, but the title is new. Some constructive criticism from Lyndon Antcliff after last month’s post is responsible for the change.

This Month In SEO - 3/08

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Spring is in the air. Can you feel it. The lion is gone and the lamb is arriving. And the best new of all for me is baseball is finally here. This month’s post is dedicated to the national past time. Back when This Month In SEO was a weekly the title of the series derived from the old Mel Allen show with the game’s highlights so how could this post be for anything other than the greatest game ever invented. I admit it. I’m a seamhead. I’ll live and die with the sport right up through the dog days of summer and to the end of the Fall Classic.

But we’re not all here for baseball are we? How about some links to a collection of the best posts from the month that was. As always more can be found via my profiles at del.icio.us and StumbleUpon. Now on with the show.

This Month In SEO - 2/08

Friday, February 29th, 2008

I could have sworn we should have been here yesterday. Isn’t it 28 days in February? What’s that? Leap year? Oh yeah the extra day we get every few years. 29 days may still a shorter month, but there was no shortage of links This Month In SEO. Football ended as the month began and baseball is starting as the month heads out. Spring is almost here, but spring training has begun. Still it’s only fitting to dedicate this post to all the people who are born on this day and have to figure out when to celebrate their birthday the next three years. Happy birthday to all the leap babies of the world. This post is dedicated to you.

This Month In SEO - 1/08

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

It’s that time. Time for another episode of This Month In SEO. Hard to believe, but another month has gone by with plenty of news to get to. If you’ve been here before you know a dedication is coming and you can probably even guess what that dedication will be. That’s right, this month’s post is dedicated to the Super Bowl, the true national holiday of the United States. Will the Patriots complete the undefeated season and walk off into football immortality? Will the Giants spoil the party with one of the biggest upsets the game has ever seen. You can probably guess what this New Yorker is rooting for.

We’re back! This Week In SEO is no more, but today marks the debut of This Month In SEO. It’s been awhile since I’ve written one of these so let’s hope I’m not too rusty and can make it all the way through. Dedication? How about to the end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008. The New Year is a good time for a review of the past and a look ahead. Let’s dedicate this post to the looking forward and a 2008 that brings you everything you want.

How I Write This Week In SEO

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Hey, where are the links?

My apologies for a linkless roundup post, but it’s only yesterday that I’m back to working after a vacation around the Thanksgiving holiday. That didn’t leave much time to put the usual post together this week. I’ve also decided to change the frequency of these posts, which I’ll get to in a bit.

This Week In SEO - 11/16/07

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

I can think of no better group to devote This Week In SEO to than turkeys everywhere. This post marks the end of the work week for me and the beginning of a much awaited vacation in New York to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. The week around Thanksgiving is an annual visit for me and the kinfolk and this year will be no different. I’m looking forward to visiting some museums, spending time with people I hardly get to see, and the general energy of New York. I’m also looking forward to a little time away from the usual routine to recharge. I’m sure I’ll be popping in and out of my usual haunts, but for a few days I may be a little scarce.

This Week In SEO will be skipping next week to recover from a dinner that will be more than one should eat, but check in on my del.icio.us and StumbleUpon profiles for more links till we meet again. Now on with the show.

This Week In SEO - 11/9/07

Friday, November 9th, 2007

I thought I’d play the role of the good son and dedicate This Week In SEO to my mom who returned from a three week trip to China a few days ago. I’ve only heard a few details of the trip at the moment, but expect to hear many more when visiting next week. She went with a photographer client of mine so I have a hunch I’ll be seeing quite a few images of the trip while building a new China portfolio.

As always there’s a lot to get to and more links at my del.icio.us profile and StumbleUpon profile. On with the show.
