Social media, including social bookmarking sites can be a good way to further the reach of your brand and strengthen relationships with the community of each site. You do have to watch out for being too promotional. Usually it's best to approach each social community with the idea of what can you do to help them. When you do that in time you tend to get a lot back from the community.

I found your post really interesting. I do part-time internet marketing for a couple of my clients. I found social bookmarking really helpful for promoting websites.

True. If your site is meant to make money you need to have some kind of business model and selling your own products or services is usually the best model.

One major component about running an online business is that you need products and services to run it. There is no easy way out, and there is certainly a ton to choose from.

Nicely said Rachel. I think there’s a tendency for people to think brand is all about the reach and they forget the trust part is just as if not more important.

I’m glad you liked the article.
