Aaron Wall often mentions links as currency for a website. Links into a site help build equity for that site enabling it to leverage things like more links. Add a solid business model behind the site those links will directly convert to money. Since it’s such a good analogy why not expand on it.

SEO Community Hacked: What Positives Can Come From It?
Yesterday afternoon some well known SEO bloggers had their sites hacked. The community is alive now with discussions of the incident, which is only natural given what happened. Still it’s sad in a way since it does give the the person responsible exactly what he or she wanted, notoriety. I’m sure the incident will continue to generate a buzz in the days ahead feeding into the hacker’s ego, but I hope that what ultimately comes out of this is something positive and I’m already seeing the signs.

Is AdSense A Scam?
For the record I don’t think AdSense is a scam and I’d like to make that clear from the start, but when I think about how to best profit as an AdSense publisher many of the tactics are designed to trick people into clicking or to at least hide the fact the ad is an ad. Is that honest? Is it a flaw in the system? Or is it business as usual?
