George Carrano is a photographer who’s done work for Ogilvy & Mather and the New York Transit Authority among others. He approached me for a redesign of an existing site. George was looking for a clean and minimalist design that would stay out of the way of the site’s content.
The design sits structurally on a 12 column grid. Text and images are additionally set to a baseline grid for improved vertical flow. We decided to keep colors minimal, sticking mainly with black and white as dominant colors introducing red as an accent for specific page elements we wanted to call out.
The design is responsive and adapts seamlessly to smart phones and tablets. It’s built on WordPress with html5.
